Charo

Spanish-American actress, singer, comedian, and flamenco guitarist. Married to [a=Xavier Cugat] (1966-1978) and [a2752821] (1978-died 2019). At the age of 15 she married the, 66 years old, then, latin maestro Xavier Cugat. Mid - to late 70's she released some disco albums at [l=Salsoul Records] with [a=The Salsoul Orchestra], led by [a=Vincent Montana, Jr.]. To most American audiences, Charo is the voluptuous bimbo of game show fame, whose running gags include "cuchi cuchi" and mangling the English language. She has big hair, dangling cleavage, and usually she is the butt of her own jokes. She is, however, an accomplished classical guitarist upon which her later work concentrates. Born: March 13,1941 in Murcia, Spain, as stated on her Spanish birth certificate and passport. Charo's birth year has been a matter of controversy for decades, and in 1977, when she became an American citizen, the Las Vegas court ruled January 15, 1951 as her official date of birth.
