Boyd Atkins

American jazz and blues saxophonist, born c. 1900 in Paducah, Kentucky, died after 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. Worked with Fate Marable, Dewey Jackson, Earl Hines, Carroll Dickerson, Louis Armstrong, Elmore James, Magic Sam, and others. Best known as composer of "Heebie Jeebies," recorded by [a=Louis Armstrong] in 1926.
