Hannu Saha

Born March 9th, 1956 in Humppila, Finland. Hannu Saha is a leading player of kantele, and researcher into Finnish folk musics, particularly those of the region around Kaustinen. He is director of the national Folk Music Institute, and artistic director of the national Folk Arts Centre, both in Kaustinen. He was leader of 'Salamakannel', and long before that a member, with Heikki Laitinen, of the band 'Primo'.
