DJ Loop (2)

DJ Loop started DJ’ing aged 15 back in 1980. He started working in various clubs in Oslo in 1996 and had his first residency at "The black Widow" (Enka), a famous Oslo gay club. He stayed at "Enka" until the owners opened "Castro" in 1997, a glam house club where he first did guest gigs and then until November 1999 playing a regular night once a week. In this period, he also played regularly at "The Sportsbar", where he builded a concept of mixing house, RnB and Trance music. In June 2000 DJ Loop started working at other more house orientated clubs in Oslo. Then in January 2001, he was invited by another famous DJ Luis Molinari, to play alongside him at his concept; "Moments in House", at Club Millenium in Oslo. Here he progressed on and eventually started playing in the basement based club called "Concrete". This club was more Hard house orientated and was known for late opening hours. DJ Loop was playing in a lot of clubs during the period such as the "Milk Club", "Baronen", "Barock", Kristiania, Pure and several others as well as participating several years in the famous summer parade that used to be held every summer in Oslo. Together with good freind and DJ Jon Moss, he develop the club concept "Ritmo De La Noche" which consisted of the two Dj’s, two bongo drummers, a saxophonist and four female Brazilian dancers. The theme music was Latin house, tribal and vocal driven house. This show got so popular that it was booked by the Coca Cola company to promote one of there products on a tour all over Norway. Beside his domestic gigs, DJ Loop has played at many clubs outside Norway as well, such as Amnesia, Space and Bora Bora in Ibiza. Best gig: Amnesia Ibiza 2002.
