Thomas Crimble

Born in Staines, Surrey (England) Thomas Crimble has played in bands since he was in school. Formed Skin Alley with Giles Pope and Richard Thomas and after leaving was asked to join Hawkwind to replace bassist [a=John A. Harrison], his tenure lasting little over 8 months (departing in december 1970) he nontheless had an influence in the development of tracks that would appear on the band's second album "X In Search Of Space" and would later re-join the band playing live at the 1971 Glastonbury Free Festival, which he also helped organise; he would continue to work with Michael Eavis and the Glastonbury team until 1999. During the 1980s he ran Mountain Studios in Wales, a recording/rehearsal set-up that was used by [a=Thompson Twins], [a=Killing Joke], [a=Marillion], [a=Roy Harper], [a=Saxon] and [a=China Crisis] to name but a few. He is a founder member of Space Ritual alongside Nik Turner and Terry Ollis.
