Paul Waaktaar-Savoy

Guitarist, singer and songwriter, born on 06.09.1961 in Tonsenhagen, a district of Oslo, Norway as [a=Pål Waaktaar Gamst]. His first band was called 'Black Days'. Later he played together with [a=Magne Furuholmen] in the band [a=Bridges (4)], which released a LP called '[r=2704997]' in 1981. Since 21 December 1991 Paul is married with [a=Lauren Waaktaar-Savoy]. After years of fighting the Anglophone media to correct the spelling of his first name, in 1994 he settled on a spelling of "Paul".
