The Weight Band

American roots rock band founded in 2012. The Weight Band originated inside the famed Woodstock, NY barn of [a=Levon Helm], when [a=Jim Weider] and [a=Randy Ciarlante] - both former members of [a=The Band] - were performing "Songs of The Band" with [a=Garth Hudson], [a=Jimmy Vivino] and [a=Byron Isaacs]. Weider, Ciarlante and Isaacs began to carry on the tradition of performing songs from The Band, inviting [a=Brian Mitchell], formerly of [a=The Levon Helm Band], and [a=Marty Grebb], formerly of [a=The Buckinghams] and a pervious Band collaborator, to complete their sound. [a=Albert Rogers], a member of the [a=Jim Weider Band], would join later on bass. [a=Michael Bram] replaced Randy Ciarlante on drums before the recording of the 2018 album [m=1417958]. Marty Grebb left after that album's release, replaced by [a=Matt Zeiner].
