Akiko Kiyama, who has earned great acclaim from the scene’s leading DJs including Ricardo Villalobos, Richie Hawtin, John Tejada, arrives with her new project Aalko. Akiko’s productions have always reached far beyond the category of techno to encompass a diverse range of electronic music. Her label Kebko music, launched in 2015, is the best example for her unique production style. Incorporating elements from ambient to the ever-changing rhythms of breakbeats, she creates a world that is organic without any sense of forced intent. During her performances her very personal and free attitude towards the creation process becomes apparent, which is also reflected by her hardware setup centered around her modular synthesizer. Akiko’s live performances are taking the audience to mysterious places and musical experiences beyond any genres or categories. Her First Album as Aalko is upcoming on Kebko Music.
