Jonas Sandquist

Swedish musician, producer and songwriter, born June 25, 1963 in Lund. Sandquist has freelanced as a musician since 1980. He started [l71658] (RBMP) in 1992 together with [a6348273] in Malmö. Together with Thomas Nyberg, Sandquist and Svennerbrandt worked with the RBMP from 1992 to 1996. Jonas Sandquist was a professional musician from 1995 to 2000 in Candela (won Grammy in 1996 for best dance band record of the year). He started the rock group Wasteland in 1985 together with Filip Frostemark, Johan Wenhov and Alf Nilsson. Wasteland took part in the Rock-SM in 1987, where the band reached the semi-finals. Between 2009 and 2013, Jonas Sandquist played in Colorstone, with Fredrik Bergengren, Olle Nilsson, Johan Dahlström and Samir Dounas. Colorstone released their first record, Into the garden through Roasting House/Universal, in the spring of 2012. Their second record, Steam, was released in the fall of 2013. He trained as a producer at the Academy of Music in Malmö, where he graduated in 2012. He runs the studio BESS and also works as a music teacher in Helsingborg. Jonas also does live mixing jobs, including for Vocal Six, Janne Schaffer and Bengt Johansson to name a few. He has played/managed a number of cover bands over the years, including JJJB jojjesband, Askalas, Jojje&Gurra, Red House and Jojje&Mackan. You can find Jojjesband at www.jojjesband.se!
