Matapat

Canadian folk act Matapat, comprised of Benoit Bourque, Gaston Bernard, and Simon Lepage, have been described as "that winter storm from Quebec." Energetic, multi-instrumentalists and singers whose dynamic presentations include jigs, reels, ballads, and call-and-response songs, they instruct in traditional dance styles as well. Matapat was nominated for a 1999 Juno Award in the category of "Best Roots and Traditional Album by a Group."
