Razastarr

Hip-hop duo from Athens, Greece. Razastarr is a greek hip-hop band, formed in Autumn 1993, in Vyronas, Central Athens. They belong to the pioneers of Greek Hip-Hop, in the first generation of hip hop bands along with [a=FF.C], [a=Active Member], [a=Terror X Crew] and others. Their influence on the next hip-hop generation is decisive. Band members are Andreas-Odysseas Tsiambokalos and Nikolas Karimalis. Thomas Spyropoulos belonged to the original composition of the band, but departed after the release of their debut album. Their first demo/underground album ("Ένα Αστέρι από τη Φυλή του Ουρανού"- One star from the Tribe of the Sky) was planned to be released via [l=Freestyle Productions], but due to disagreements it was left unreleased. They formed "Dustheadz Click" alongside [a=FF.C] and [a=Frontal Attack], but they disbanded after two years, yet continue to collaborate with the other bandmates. Following a record deal with [l=FM Records], two full-length albums and an extended play were released. The record deal was for three albums, so they planned to release an instrumental album, produced by both members, as the last album on FM records, but the label broke the contract, refusing to release an album with no lyrics. The band splitted temporarily after its release from the label and the two members released solo albums and collaborated with other artists. After several years, they started working on the third album, but due to obligations it was left incompleted. At the same time, they did concerts with old school and new Hip-Hop artists, Greek and international, as band (with or without full band) but also as solo artists in concerts, festivals and other events. In 2014, they started a series of live performances with [a=DJ Everlast] which were the occasion to work again on their third album release. They returned to the discography with two indepedent single releases and released their third album in 2016 as Razastarr with [a=Dj Wheel M], as a band DJ. Then, the band did several concerts and announced in November 2017 that their last concert as Razastarr will take place at PassPort, where they invited friends (bands and artists) who had collaborated on their discography.
