Randall Barnwell

Musician, producer and music company owner. Originally from the Tampa, Florida area, he moved to Boston with the band Primitive Romance. Barnwell played with alternative and post punk bands in Boston in the 1980s then became interested in Moroccan music. He formed world music company Istikhara, which released albums of music from North African and Asian artists and also produced for his own company Dolphin Head Music. Barnwell moved to California in 1996 and in 2000 went to Los Angeles to pursue work in film.
