Åke Persson

Swedish trombonist, born February 25, 1932, Hässleholm, Sweden, died February 5, 1975, Stockholm, Sweden. Åke Persson worked steadily in Europe during his prime years and occasionally guested with American jazzmen who were on tour. On February 5th, 1975, Åke was found dead in his car at the bottom of the Djurgården canal.
