Brainpool

Swedish pop group from Lund, Sweden, formed in the early 1990s. From the beginning they called themselves This Brainpool and during the late 1980s had one of their first gigs at NyvƄngsskolan in Dalby outside Lund. Brainpool got a publishing contract with Per Gessle's label Jimmy Fun and released their records on Sony Music. The group toured as a support act for Roxette in 1994. In 1994, Brainpool participated in the Lollipop tour together with Kent, [Sator] and D-A-D. In August of the same year, they performed the song "Bandstarter" during the opening of the Athletics World Championships at Ullevi in Gothenburg.[2] They also performed at the Lollipop festival in Tullinge where they recorded the video for the single "We Aim to Please". Singer Janne Kask left the band in 1997 to focus on his solo project and to work as a songwriter for other artists.
