Bisso Na Bisso

Bisso Na Bisso (Lingala: Between Us) is a music collective of rappers and singers with origins from Congo-Brazzaville, formed in 1999. The group consists of [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/Ben-J+(2)]Ben-J[/url] (from Les [a=Neg'Marrons]), [a=Lino] and [a=Calbo] (from the group [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/Arsenik]Ärsenik[/url]), [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/Doc+TMC]Doc[/url] and [a=G. Kill] (from [url=http://www.discogs.com/artist/2+Bal+Niggets]2Bal[/url]), [a=Mystik] and the only female [a=Mpassi], the group was put together by French rapper [a=Passi]. The group released an album called [b]Racines[/b] which means 'Roots' in French. The album contained a fusion of hip hop with African rhythms and sounds like rumba, zouk and soukous giving it a unique and distinctive flavour. The album also featured collaborations with prominent African musicians of the time like [a=Koffi Olomide], [a=Papa Wemba], [a=Ismaël Lô], [a=Kassav'] and [a=Monique Seka].
