Vaccine
Vaccine was the solo recording project of Christchurch musician [a=David Khan] between late 1994 and mid 1996. It served as a testing ground for musical ideas adopted and/or rejected by the group leonard Nimoy (comprised of Khan, [a=Peter Wright], Tracey Pagey, and [a=Mikel Goodwin]), and as such, sonically mirrored the group project: Boss DR550MkII drum machine rhythms, drones, treated guitar and analogue synths, and a variety of lo-fi samples, tape loops & dictaphone effects. Khan fleshed out the sound with live and sampled acoustic textures, anticipating his later solo work as [a=Drawing Room].
