Junior Senior
Junior Senior were a Danish pop duo, active from 1998 to 2008. The duo consisted of [a=Jesper Mortensen] alias [a=Junior (11)] (vocals, guitar, bass guitar, keyboards) and [a=Jeppe Laursen] alias [a=Senior (2)] (vocals, keyboards, programming). Before forming Junior Senior 1998, Mortensen and Laursen had played together for one year during 1995-96 in [a=Ludox]. The name is explained by the simple fact that Laursen is the oldest and biggest of the two. The duo signed a deal with Danish label [l=Crunchy Frog] and released their debut album [m=108443] in 2002. It contained the single [m=40949], with vocals by [a=Thomas Troelsen] of [a=Superheroes], that became a massive radio hit in Denmark. [l=Universal] subsequently released both the album and the single internationally, and Move Your Feet gained worldwide success in 2003, most notably in the United Kingdom where it went straight to number 3 on the UK Singles Chart. The duo was invited to perform on Tops of the Pops as one of the few Danish acts ever. 2005 saw the release of second album [m=108447] that reached number 2 on the Japanese albums charts. Mortensen and Laursen announced that they would split and pursue solo projects on 26 September 2008.
