David Pybus

[b]Dave Pybus[/b] is a Canadian saxophonist, Catalan by adoption, living and working in Barcelona since 1974. Creator and director of the Pybus Groove Quartet, and previously he had played with Orquestra Mirasol, Transatlantic, Princes of Time and Shamtime. He has played internationally with Stevie Wonder, Thad Jones, Al Cohn and Jack McDuff. It is a benchmark in the style of groove music, combining popular rhythms of black music with classical jazz, it was in the sixties and seventies of soul and funk and today of rythm'n'blues and hip -hop more fashionable.
