Michael White (6)
Canadian composer for film and television, playing also trumpet and modular synthesizers. Known for his performances and recordings with [a=ARRAYMUSIC], New Music Concerts, the experimental industrial/jazz group Lonely Universe, and the high tech rhythm band King Brand Valium. Studied trumpet at the University of Toronto with Larry Weeks. Through his work with ARRAYMUSIC and New Music Concerts, he has had the opportunity to work with many composers. Michael White has toured throughout Canada and internationally with many different groups including ARRAYMUSIC, Lonely Universe, the Esprit Orchestra, [a=Nexus (18)], [a=Mary Margaret O'Hara], Cloud About Mercury, and [a=Bruce Cockburn]. Among others, he toured with Bruce Cockburn, David Torn’s “Cloud about Mercury”, club dates in Toronto with Hugh Marsh, Roberto Occhipinti, The Henry’s, King Brand, Claude Ranger and Freddie Stone.
