Luke Brandon (2)

Luke Brandon is a trumpeter in the Airmen of Note, The United States Air Force Band, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C. A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, his Air Force career began in 2013. Brandon completed his Bachelor of Music degree in jazz trumpet performance from Temple University in 2010. While at Temple University, he was awarded top honors at the National Trumpet Competition. While playing with the Temple University Big Band, Brandon performed with Slide Hampton, Nicholas Payton, Karrin Allyson, Houston Person, Benny Golson, Branford Marsalis, and Jimmy Heath. The Temple University Big Band also performed at The Hague Jazz Festival in the Netherlands. Brandon has worked professionally with jazz greats Bill Goodwin, Phil Woods, Bob Dorough, Orrin Evans, Dick Oatts, and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.
