American pop crooner, film actor, and TV personality. Born November 16, 1913 in Seattle, Washington, USA. Died July 3, 2006 (aged 92) in Westlake Village, California, USA. Married to high school sweetheart & actress Victoria Stuart (1936-2003, her death). He was also known as "Smilin' Jack Smith" and "The Man With the Smile In His Voice". He sang professionally at the age of 16 at the Cocoanut Grove in Hollywood with friends, Martin Sperzel and Al Teeter, as "The Three Ambassadors". He and they sang with Phil Harris and His Orchestra in the early 1930s. The Ambassadors disbanded in 1939 as Jack pursued a solo career. His career lasted over six decades.
