U.S. experimental instrumental duo of touch guitarist [a=Trey Gunn] and drummer / percussionist [a=Pat Mastelotto] — who originally formed as [a=Rhythm Buddies] during the [a=King Crimson] "Happy" production rehearsal in May 2002. In 2003 the duo renamed the project as [i]TU[/i] (pronounced '2'), and recorded further releases. The [i]Rhythm Buddies[/i] debut was also subsequently rebranded as a [i]TU[/i] release upon reissue and as download. During 2004 the duo became the quartet [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/401505][i]KTU[/i][/url], with Finnish accordion player [a=Kimmo Pohjonen] and sampler [a=Samuli Kosminen]. In 2023 the duo [a=Tuner] (German touch guitarist [a=Markus Reuter] & Maselotto) combined with Gunn as the trio [i][a13386477][/i].
