Hope Sandoval

American singer-songwriter, born 24 June 1966 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Hope's first band was called Going Home, a folk band she formed with her friend [a=Sylvia Gomez] who played the guitar. [a=David Roback] recorded some songs with Going Home. Only 7 songs are known from this collaboration but to date have never been released. In 1988 Hope replaced [a=Kendra Smith] in the band [a=Opal (2)] which was created and headed by guitarist David Roback. In 1990, Opal transformed into [a=Mazzy Star] until the passing of David Roback in 2020. Hope has a band of her own called [a=Hope Sandoval & The Warm Inventions]. She has also collaborated with other artists like [a243280], [a=The Chemical Brothers], [a=Death in Vegas], [a=Massive Attack], [a=Bert Jansch] and many more.
