Venomous2000, Dwayne Sheppard or V, as he likes to be called, is a Social Studies teacher from Passaic, New Jersey and an international Hip-Hop artist with over 12 full length studio albums establishing collaborations with artists such as Inspectah Deck (Wu-Tang Clan), The Artifacts, Treach (Naughty By Nature), Smif N Wessun, and more. V attended Martin Luther King Jr. School 6 in Passaic, NJ and graduated head of his class. In 2000, V graduated from Passaic High School as the Homecoming King and was nominated as the Most Talented Male of his graduating class. After graduating high school, V attended Rutgers University, where he majored in Africana Studies and Religion. During his tenure at Rutgers, V wrote over 200 songs, recorded 3 unreleased albums and performed throughout campus and the eastern coast of the United States. In 2012, V headed his first international tour in Europe, Belgium & France, as a member of the United States ‘So Fresh So Hip-Hop’ team. The experience opened doors for other Hip-Hop artists to travel from the USA to Europe as a cultural exchange program aimed at exposing people to the Hip-Hop culture from a global perspective. V is currently in his 14th year of teaching for the Passaic School District. V has written Photography and Song Writing curriculum for the district, taught Photography and Chess courses, and hopes to develop a district wide Community Gardening Program, International Hip-Hop Student Exchange Program, and a student- centered Hip-Hop collaboration album.
