Tommy Whittle

Scottish jazz saxophonist (tenor). Born 13th October 1926 in Grangemouth, Stirling, Scotland Died 13th October 2013 (aged 87) in Spain. Husband of singer [a=Barbara Jay] and father of pianist [a=Sean Whittle]. Tommy worked with Ronnie Scott, Ted Heath (1947-52), Kenny Wheeler, Joe Temperley, Johnny Claes, Lew Stone, Harry Hayes, Carl Barriteau, Jack Parnell and others. Led The Pizza Express All-Stars.
