Simon Stockhausen

(born 05.06.1967 in Bensberg) Simon Stockhausen is a German composer and multi-instrumentalist, the son of [a=Karlheinz Stockhausen] and [a=Mary Bauermeister] and brother of [a=Markus Stockhausen]. He develops music for TV, cinema documentaries and fiction films, and also composes music for theatre and contemporary music ensembles. As a musician (keyboards, piano, electronics, drums and soprano sax), Simon has performed with people like Lalo Shifrin, Vince Mendoza, Peter Erskine, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Ensemble Modern, and of course with his father's ensembles. The Stockhausen brothers have released numerous albums for labels like ECM, EMI and LARGO.
