Simi Nah

Simi Nah was born in Nice in the south of France, where she spent most of her childhood. Anxious to become a fashion designer, she moved to Paris where another universe revealed itself : music. To develop this new passion, she parted for Amsterdam and ended up in Belgium, where she started to play bass in different bands like : The Chicks (girls band) - 1990 to 1992 Coma - (a duo with Kenny) 1997 Praga Khan - 1998 until 2000 & 2005 until 2009 She spent most of that period playing concerts with : The Chicks (support act for "La Muerte" - Spain, and a few festivals) Coma (Marktrock Leuven 1997 & 2000, Praatkroeg 1997, Millennium and a few festivals) Praga Khan (Marktrock Leuven 1998 & 1999, Axion Beach Rock 1998, Rock Werchter 1999, Vorst Nationaal 1998, Tokyo 1999, la Locomotive - Paris, Glastonbury festival - UK, I love techno in Gent, etc.) Playing bass became suddenly not enough, so she decided to start some production with the dance project "Insolence" - 1999, featuring Laurence (ex. "The Chicks") on vocals. It's only in 2002, after a well deserved break, that she participated on "Svenson & Gielen - The beauty of silence" album where she feature on two tracks. 2003 : The mix of all these experiences resulted in her solo project, witch she continue with Kenny who supported me all this years in my musical adventures. Her first album will be a mix of all these emotions...
