Bruce Gary

Bruce Gary was a drummer, born April 7, 1951 in Burbank, California. Best known as the drummer for the Knack, he was a Grammy-nominated performer and producer, and an in-demand musician for both studio and live work, having worked with Albert Collins, Jack Bruce, Dr. John, Robby Krieger, Albert King, the Ventures, and many others. Other than getting to jam with him, Bruce also worked extensively with the Jimi Hendrix archives and compiled several posthumous albums and a radio show. He was also a production consultant on Westwood One’s weekly broadcast series, The Lost Lennon Tapes. Bruce died August 22, 2006 of non-Hodgkin lymphoma at age 55 in Tarzana, California.
