Daniel Pisello

US physicist and essay author, graduated with a Ph.D. in 1976 at Columbia University. Discouraged as a graduate student from pursuing his theoretical work, he took a leave of absence from physics in 1969 and seriously considered becoming a professional drummer. He also played and sang in two bands, Monte and the Magnificents and Shortnin' Bread and was drummer in George Tabori's Pinkville, a rock musical based on the My Lai massacre. His 1978 children's musical "The King Of The Entire World" performed and published by the [l992837] reflects his background as a theoretical physicist in several aspects, particulary its references to sunlight and motion. In 1979 he published 'Gravitation, Electromagnetism and Quantized Charge',"a continuation of a different track of Einstein's theory of relativity."
