John Lawry

Born: June 15, 1950. A Christian musician, composer, producer, and songwriter. He started out as a session keyboard player in the Flint, MI area, where he worked on projects for Joy Road Gospel Band and Ron Moore. He wrote and recorded with Joe English and was part of his touring band (The Joe English Band). Together with Paul Brannon and George Cocchini he formed Forerunner and they released one album in 1984. In 1984 he joined Petra and wrote, recorded and toured with them as keyboardist until the end of 1993. He joined the Classic Petra reunion project from 2010 to 2012 and as of 2017 is a member of [a6168388]. John is currently tourin with Petra again. John also released two solo projects, contributed keyboards to many albums, and currently has his own recording studio, where he works with many different artists from the CCM scene.
