Alessandro Mahmoud (born 12 September 1992), known professionally as Mahmood, is an Italian singer-songwriter from Milan. He first came to prominence after competing in season six of the Italian version of The X Factor. In 2019, he won the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "Soldi" from his debut album "Gioventù Bruciata", and went on to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, reaching the 2nd place. In 2021, he released his second album "Ghettolimpo". Then, in 2022 he won Sanremo with BLANCO and their song "Brividi", and represented Italy in the Eurovision 2022, reaching 6th place. In 2024, he came back to Sanremo with the single from his new album "Nei Letti Degli Altri" - "TUTA GOLD" where he reached 6th place.
