Василий Петров

Vasili Petrov (1875–1937) was a Russian opera singer (bass), soloist at the [l=Bolshoi Theatre] (1902–37), People's Artist of the RSFSR (1933). He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1902. Petrov had been performing with [a=Feodor Chaliapin], [url=https://www.discogs.com/artist/857565]Antonina Nezhdanova[/url] and other notable singers. His grandson [a=Nikolai Petrov] (1943–2011) was a famous pianist.
