Mineshaft

Hoax band that began to be noticed in late 2009 on myspace. Mineshaft mainly plays covers versions of Rock and Pop hits in a rough EBM style, or vice versa Pop covers of EBM favorites. They often translate or alterate original lyrics in a humourous way. Their concerts are never advertised. They unexpectedly appearing on stage, quite often interrupting the set of another band. If they are not evicted by the bouncers, they generally play a song or two before disappearing mysteriously, leaving the audience stunned, in the great tradition of performer [a=Andy Kaufman]. Due to the fact they always wear masks and Ghillie suits, members identity is unknown. Their french version of "Motel lover" by swedish band [a=Dupont (2)] gained significant recognition in Swiss clubs.
