Los Locos

Los Locos helped popularize Latin American rhythms and sounds which in the Euro/Italo dance saturated Italy had prior-to never received a great reception. Roby "Borillo" Boribello (guitar and bass) and Paolo Franchetto (keyboards), of Venezuelan origin, formed Los Locos at the end of 1992. They had various successful releases doing covers of other popular Latin hits of the time, such as "El Menaito", "El Tiburon", "Macarena", and "Tic Tic Tac". Due to the increased awareness of such songs in the general public's consciousness, many of their releases enjoyed Gold and Platinum status. In 2000 a collaboration with Kid Creole (of Kid Creole and the Coconuts fame) resulted in a release by [a86682].
