Jessie Hill

Jessie Hill born 9 December 1932, New Orleans, Louisiana and died 17 September 1996, New Orleans, Louisiana was an American R&B singer and songwriter, best remembered for the classic song, "Ooh Poo Pah Doo". He began his career as a drummer in the 1950s and after performing with [a=Professor Longhair] and [a=Huey "Piano" Smith], he focused on singing and songwriting.
