Toulout Kiki

Toulou Kiki, by her civilian Tuareg name Telawt Walet Bilal, is a Tuareg actress and singer born on January 1st in 1983 in the little village of Tchirozérine, just north of Agadez, Niger. Her parents were both Touareg and at home they spoke the Tamasheq language. She is the main actress in the film “Timbuktu” by Abderrahmane Sissako, chosen at the Cannes Festival 2014. As a singer she can be heard on albums by [a=Tinariwen], [a=Kel Assouf], [a=Imarhan] and [a=Bombino] to name a few. She currently lives in Paris, France.
