Arkady Cruchiny

Russian singer born in 1930, Odessa., emigrated to Israel ca. 1964 and began singing. During WWII, Arkady made friends with Gypsies/Roma and learned many of their songs. One evening at the Picadilly nightclub, journalist Aharon Shamir told Arkady that his voice could fascinate anyone listening to him, and from that day Arkday rose among the ranks of Israeli singers.
