Jazz trumpet player and band leader, born May 15, 1903 in Long Branch, New Jersey. In Sam Wooding's orchestra at Club Alabam in New York in 1925, stayed with Wooding, working in Europe and the US until 1931. In Willie Lewis's orchestra, based in Europe, 1932-1936, then formed his own band, recording in the Netherlands while touring Europe 1937-1939. Ceased full time playing after 1944.
