Michel Bass

Congolese bassist based in France. Michel Lumana is known around the world as “Michel Bass”, high octane bassist for Congolese pop sensation Werrason of Wenge Musica BCBG. Michel is now a highly sought-after producer and versatile multi-instrumentalist session musician based in Paris. He is also a member of the all-star groups, Black Bazar and Le Bal de L’Afrique Enchantée and a composer for Sony Music France. Michel has accompanied [a=Passi], [a=Meiway], [a=Fally Ipupa], [a=Manu Dibango], [a=Papa Wemba], [a=Madilu System] and [a=Koffi Olomide]. His new audiovisual project, Ultimate Sebene Bass, teaches Congolese Sebene fingerstyling techniques and includes an original album featuring Congolese music interpreted through jazz.
