M'Bamina

M'Bamina (lightning) were formed the 1st July 1972 by 8 boys who found In Italy tools & equipment to play, making their first great show at [i]Le Rotonde di Garlasco[/i], near Pavia (1973). The band had to wait 2 years for the first album [i]African Roll[/i], produced by french impresario [a=Christian Carbaza] and italian club owner [a=Ivo Lunardi]. In 1976 their European tour and the great show in Cameroun, at the [i]Stade de Yaounde[/i] with [a=Manu Dibango] & [a=Claude Francois]. In 1977 M'Bamina opened the [a=James Brown]'s concert [i]Au Pavillon de Paris[/i]. The main sources that mark their music were R.& B., Afro-Cuban and traditional, a show in which instrumental music, dance and song blend together.
