German autor and ethnographic researcher, born 21 March 1935 in Perleberg, Brandenburg, Germany, died 8 March 1986 in Hamburg, Germany. From 1962 onwards he lived and worked with the photographer [a514607], they conducted various expeditions exploring the Afro-American religions of South America, the Caribbean and Africa.
