Anders Löfberg

Swedish cellist and violinist and national fiddler, born October 31, 1977. He is the son of the folk musician [a3268632] and a member of the folk music groups Nordic and Majorstuen. Anders Löfberg is educated at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. He has been a member of the Nordic group since 2004, where he plays the cello. With Nordic he has released the albums Metropol (2008), Hommage (2012) and Collage (2016) In 2004 he played double bass on the album Gubbstöt together with his father Bengt Löfberg, Pelle Björnlert and Erik Pekkari. On January 28, 2007, Swedish Radio P2 broadcast the concert Basilikahatten - Trallade songs from Småland from the Emigrant Institute in Växjö. Ulrika Gunnarsson and Esbjörn Hazelius also participated in the concert. In 2008, Löfberg played the cello at Kersti Ståbis' Ute blaser sommervind. In 2009 he played double bass, cello and violin on Ulrika Gunnarsson's album Trall, in which Hazelius also participated. The same year he appeared on the album Bålgetingen - songs by August Strömberg together with Anders Svensson, Magnus Gustafsson, Susanne Gustafsson and Jörgen Axelsson. In 2012, he played cello on Emilia Ampers Trollfågeln. Löfberg has been a national fiddler since 2013 when he received the Zorn mark in silver. In 2015, Löfberg toured with the performance 101 hats to kick down before I die together with Silje Onstad Hålien. He also released the album Kvitre with the Norwegian folk music group Majorstuen. On May 18, 2016, he released his first solo album Nittonbunda where Bengt Löfberg and Pelle Björnlert are guests.
