Mickey Jones (2)

Drummer. Born on June 10, 1941 in Houston, TX, USA. Died on February 7, 2018 in Houston, TX, USA. He got his first gig playing drums after meeting Trini Lopez in high school. He followed Lopez to Los Angeles, where they recorded the now classic 'Live At P.J.'s'. Lured away by Johnny Rivers, they recorded seven albums together and toured the world. Shortly after, Bob Dylan befriended him and he joined The Band backing Dylan on tour throughout the mid-60s. He then joined The First Edition, with Kenny Rogers, and played and sang with them for several albums before all but leaving the music behind in the late 70s to focus mainly on his burgeoning acting career.
