Born in Montréal on aug. 10th. 1947, In the 60's, Stéphane Robert was in the groups "les Fétiches" then "les Géminis" performing in dance halls around Montréal (Québec). Stéphane's solo career starts in 1967. In 1968, his Pop Hit single "Quand Tu Liras Cette Lettre" (Tony Roman's Canusa label) sold 200,000 copies. Les Géminis might be [a3983915] or another Rock & Roll / Yé-Yé band with the same name. His second hit came a few months later with "Sèche Tes Larmes". Stéphane won Québec's 1968 best new artist award, and registered the highest record sales of 1969 for a male artist in the province. Singing mostly french versions of Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck songs, he retired from his singing career to become a policeman in 1973.
