Popular American tenor (b. January 15, 1882 St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada - d. April 6, 1941 Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A) Argued by many to be Canada's first musical export, Henry Burr was the most popular of the many pseudonyms used by tenor [a=Harry McClaskey] (others included [a=Irving Gillette], Henry Gillette, Alfred Alexander, Archie Alexander, Ira Allen, Harry Barr, Ralph Brainard, [a=Robert Rice (5)], Carl Ely, Frank Knapp, Al King, Shamus McClaskey, Charles Richards, Harold Spencer, and many others).
