Pedro Ruy-Blas

Spanish songwriter and singer. He started in "Los Grimm" but soon moved to "Los Canarios" in 1968 replacing Teddy Bautista, and later [a=The Brisks]. As solo he got some success with the pop single "A los que hirió el amor" (no. 1 in Spain in 1970). He founded the jazz band "Dolores" in 1977. He also played with flamenco guitarist Paco de Lucía. Pedro played Judas Iscariote role in Spanish production of J. C. Superstar in 1984. He did 546 performances as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables in Madrid, 1992. He played Francisco de Goya role on Spanish Musical "La Maja De Goya" in 1996, and Old Deuteronomy in Spanish production of "Cats" in 2005.
