Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra

Polish chamber orchestra from Warsaw. Founded in the early in the 20th century. In the 1960s and 70s was conducted by [a1218161]. In the 1990s, a string orchestra gave concerts with eminent soloists like [a1129597] or [a259802]) as well as recording for record companies and the television. Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra was reactivated in the context of the Philharmonic’s centenary celebrations and gave its first concert on 10th February 2002. It was formed by leading [a=Orkiestra Symfoniczna Filharmonii Narodowej] instrumentalists, including former members of [a1218161]’s ensemble. [a1122706] was appointed artistic director of the orchestra.
