HaPussy Shel Lucy

Formed in 1998 in Yavneh, Israel, Lucy's Pussy burst onto the punk scene with a lineup featuring Amit Adan, Netta Gofan, Erez Shmider, Assaf Maiden, Omri Goldin, and Asaf Sheesh. Their 2002 debut album, "Turtle 8," delivered a spirited call for societal change, but tragedy struck that year when lead singer Omri Goldin died in a terror attack. Despite the setback, the band remained an influential force in Israeli punk. They were featured in the documentary "Jericho Trumpets" in 2004 and contributed to the "Hallelujah Rock Time" project in 2005. Their 2012 reunion honored Goldin and addressed social issues through music. In 2016, they released the album "Inciting Rebellion," and in 2017, the band released a new version of the song "Hero of the Defense Forces" by the band Pollyanna Frank, together with the bands "Cream Burlesque" and "Antigone Rex". The song was released on Independence Day and a new verse was added to it. Also, the band released a cover version of Barak Cohen's song "Information Coordinator". The song was released in honor of the day of protest against police violence.
