Kerstin Frödin

Swedish baroque oboist, recorder player. She is internationally active as a soloist and chamber musician in both early music and contemporary experimental art music. She studied mainly at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and Conservatorio di musica E.F. dall’Abaco in Verona, Italy. She has performed at festivals such as Festival Oude Muziek, Utrecht, Festival d'lle de France, Paris, Grandezze & Meraviglie Modena, Festival Accademia Bizantina Bagnacavallo, Stockholm Early Music Festival and Nordiska Musikdagar and is represented on record labels such as BIS, Phono Suecia, dB -productions and Caprice. Kerstin has also participated in a number of theatre, opera and dance performances at Confidencen, Drottningholm's castle theatre, Vadstena Academy, MDT, Riksteatern and Radioteatern. Since 2015, she has been a PhD student in musical design at Luleå University of Technology.
