Mel Henke

American jazz pianist, born August 4, 1915 in Chicago, Illinois, died March 31, 1979 in Canoga Park, California. Worked with Bud Freeman (1942), Horace Heidt (1944), Bill Newman, Shelly Manne and others. Long solo residencies in Chicago and studio work for ABC and NBC, then moved to California to do studio work and compose for films.
